True Color Picker
Privacy

Your files never leave your device.

Privacy is the core of how True Color Picker works. This page explains exactly what we do — and more importantly, what we don't do.

The short version

True Color Picker is a static website with no backend. All color detection, palette extraction, conversion, and contrast calculations run entirely in your web browser using the HTML5 Canvas API and JavaScript. Nothing you upload, paste, or enter is transmitted to any server.

What we collect

We do not collect, store, or process your images, color values, or personal information. There is no account system, no comment section, and no user-generated content that requires storage.

Cookies & local storage

We use your browser's local storage to remember your theme preference (light or dark mode) so the site loads correctly on your next visit. This data stays on your device and is never sent to us.

Third-party services

We do not run analytics or tracking scripts. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts' public CDN; your browser may contact that CDN to fetch font files, which is standard for any website using webfonts. If we later display advertisements (for example via Google AdSense), those ad networks may use cookies and similar technologies to serve relevant ads; your use of the site will be governed by the relevant ad network's policies for that purpose.

Image URLs

When you load an image by URL, your browser fetches that URL directly, just like loading any webpage image. We do not proxy or cache your images. If the source is cross-origin, the image is processed locally by the canvas engine.
